MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

The City of Seattle

 and

International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 17

Information Technology Professional Unit

 

The City of Seattle (hereinafter the City) and the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 17 (hereinafter the Union) that are signatories to this agreement; agree as follows with respect to the creation of a labor management committee and other discussions.

 

Labor Management Committee

 

An inter-departmental labor management committee shall be formed to discuss future technology plans in the City, and related IT Professional training strategies. The CTO or designee shall attend these meeting upon request of either party.

 

This inter-departmental labor management committee shall begin by meeting quarterly. Membership will be made up of management and employees/stewards from each department, Labor Relations, and Local 17 Union Representatives. Proper items for the agenda shall be agreed upon by both parties. The parties are not limited to the items above but these items shall serve as guidelines for the topics discussed.

 

The parties may also agree to discuss any other topics of mutual agreement related to IT.

 

Pay Band Structure

 

The union may request to discuss changes to the IT Professional pay band structure when the salary survey is finalized.

 

Additionally, on or about April 1st of each calendar year, the City will provide the Union with a report of all ITP B & C employees within its bargaining unit showing their salary placement respective to the top of the band. The union may then request a meeting to discuss changes to the IT Professional pay band structure.
