RE: Contract Ratification Process
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Dear Local 17 IT Professional Member:
Your bargaining team has worked hard to negotiate the terms of your 2008 2010 Collective Bargaining Agreement. It is now time to review the tentatively agreed-to changes and vote on whether you want to ratify our IT Professional contract.
Enclosed please find: (1) A Summary of Contract Changes; (2) A mail-in ballot and instructions; (3) A ballot envelope; and, (4) A pre-paid envelope addressed to Local 17. The mail-in ballot must be received at the Local 17 office by the close of business on Thursday, May 15, 2008.
A copy of the Tentative Agreement that we reached with the City of Seattle, along with a copy of a Memorandum of Agreement regarding future discussions with the City about pay band levels can be viewed on our website at www.ifpte17.org. If you want, you may download and print a copy for yourself from your work computer. If you are unable to get a copy, you may call Anthony at the Local 17 office at extension 121, and he will mail a copy to you.
Your bargaining committee unanimously recommends ratification of our contract.
If you have any questions, please attend our Question & Answer Session on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 12:00 noon 1:00 p.m. in the Seattle Municipal Tower, Room 4080, or feel free to contact Local 17 Union Representative Patti Kieval at (206) 328-7321, Ext. 106, or email pkieval@ifpte17.org. |
