November 2009

King County and Local 17 recently reached a Tentative Agreement on your next labor agreement.  There are minimal changes that are outlined below. You can read more by clicking the documents below.

Your bargaining team recommends a "YES" vote on this contract. We spent many hours deliberating the best route to take for the next contract cycle and we found that this end result provided the best possible outcome we felt we could achieve at this point in time. We are hoping that next year's COLA negotiations will take place in a more predictable and positive financial and leadership environment.
